Call for Partners - Piloting the Application of Behavioural Insights for Plastic Reduction

The Institute for Global Environment Strategies (IGES), a not-for-profit policy research institute in Japan, launched a project to test the effectiveness of behavioral insights to reduce the use and waste of single-use plastics in cities and communities. The project is funded and conducted in close collaboration with the Regional Knowledge Centre for Marine Plastic Debris of the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN (ERIA).

The call aims to select 3 to 4 implementing partners from Asian countries (limited to Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, or Japan) to work on the planning, implementation, and monitoring of micro-scale pilot activities to test the effectiveness of behavioral insights- informed interventions to reduce single-use plastic in concrete settings (e.g. shops, restaurants, campuses, event sites) and for specific target groups (e.g. families, workers, students, aged population).
